How do I use the KoolPlate™ Cooling Tray?

Place the KoolPlate™ in a domestic type freezer at no lower than -20°C overnight or for a minimum of 8 hours, placing it upside down. This position helps to freeze the gel near the top surface without the creation of air pockets.

Place it in its styrofoam holder to collect condensation, or directly on the bench and freeze your blocks prior to cutting them on the microtome. Once the KoolPlate™ is no longer cold enough, return it upside down to the freezer. The KoolPlate™ can remain in the freezer until its next use.
